Discover my selection of unique boutique wines with sustainability at their core.
Chardonnay has an important place in the Willamette Valley, not in the replication of other inspirational regions, but with its own distinctive style. Chardonnay is a grape that has the ability to translate a unique geology in the same way Pinot Noir does (the other main variety from this producer and in the region). Through thoughtful farming and cellar practices, they strive to allow Chardonnay to reach its powerful Willamette Valley potential, and their approach to it pays attention to texture and structure, translating site and vintage.
The result is an illuminating style of Chardonnay, showcasing density and precision. The palate spotlights evolving layers of texture which follow the classic aromatic notes of lemon zest, honeycrisp apple and white flowers, with the finish offering a subtle mineral and saline character.

The Wine Monkey
I created Wine Monkey to bring together a collection of lesser-known craft wines that celebrate sustainability, whether environmental, human, economic and/or social and to support the producers who see and care about the bigger picture.
You name it, I've done it: from marketing and brand management to retail and trade sales, wine tourism, wine education, ecommerce and, most recently sommelier, with several vintages under my belt both in the cellar and in the vineyard.
Having worked my way through the vineyards of southern Oregon, the Loire, the Languedoc, the Rhône and now the UK, I have developed a passion for "unique boutique" wines. Wine Monkey is all about bringing together and showcasing the incredible wines I've collected along the way. Get in touch to let me know what you think of my selection and to share your favorites with me. I'd love to hear from you!
