Château Curson Rouge
Etienne Pochon
The long, cool growing season of 2013 has developed spicy red fruit, blackberries, black pepper and graphite notes, in what is a very juicy Syrah. Vivid and more elegant than in warmer years yet not without liberal fruit and a lovely texture: the result of both barrel and bottle age.
Famed winemaker Etienne Pochon owns this small and organic certified estate located in Crozes-Hermitage in the northern Rhône Valley. In the medieval cellars of the Château de Curson, he vinifies his estate grapes plot by plot in order to keep the specificity of each terroir.
