Rueda’s iconic grape and best-known wine: delicious Verdejo, which wears a fruity and zippy heart on its sleeve.
Ariabal is juicy, lip-smacking with lots of acidity at its core. Pale yellow with green reflections whilst shiny and bright. It smells of freshly cut grass and lemon zest, with hints of star anise, fennel, hay and apple. Light, fresh, powerful and very balanced palate. The wine has appealing flavours of lemon and lime, some stony minerality and a zesty finish. The finish is pleasantly persistent and fresh.
Besides a classic paella, the wine goes well with firm, light fish and chicken dishes.
